This photo doesn't show all eleven but I caught them under the hover, bunching up and ready for their nap after a feeding frenzy.
Before their naptime, they can be very active. A fly got in with them yesterday. They didn't really know what to do with it, but they all wanted in on the action. No fly was harmed in that action sequence.
They're the Pekin ducks, a large white breed. I'm trying not to get attached. They are so fun! If more people raised their meat, I believe we wouldn't consume as much.

ReplyDeleteDr. Momi, today they're three weeks old and just moved outside to the Hoop Coop! Amazing growth. We'd be OK with them slowing down.
